ACS 4.0 - Failed to enumerate AD

I have an install of ACS 4.0 that can not enumerate an AD domain in the trust. We have the pipe wide open so no ports are blocked. I have followed all of ciscos reccomendations and still no solution, have any of you had this issue and what is the resolution?

I found the issue, apparantly the netbios node type was set to p-node which was forcing the client to look for a wins server. why i fight with netbios on products made by the leading tcp/ip hardware manufacturer I DON'T KNOW!
