Hi all!

Is anyone using successfully the above product? I would welcome any comments good/bad on this product. I am currently testing their trial version. It seems to work although I am still in the early stages of testing.

Thanks!

Yes.
we've been using this product for a long time
and we've never had any problems with it.
Somebody can say that it is too complicated, but actually it isn't true. It's quite fast, safe creats an exact server disk image & in brief very functional.

Thanks Santei for your post. I am currently testing it out and so far I am impressed. Do you use their Universal Restore option to restore images to different hardware?

Thanks!

U're wellcome Tiger :)
sure,I do
universal restore is a break-through in creating backups. We were waiting its release for a long time. And now we can quickly restore images to different hardware and recover from any unforeseen event. It really rocks!

That's good to hear. I am still testing it out and would welcome your feedback on it. I've tried restoring an image containing W2K to a different server. The only thing I told Universal Restore to load was the Raid controller driver.
However upon booting up the newly restored server I got several Found New Hardware Wizard popups and still had to install the Raid controller driver manually. What was your experience after restoring to different hardware?
By the way do you have to purchase Acronis True Image Enterprise Server license for every server you wish to take an image of?
Thanks!

We've already tried to restore to another hardware and there were no problems. TI simply detected all hardware and chose proper drivers. In general, I haven't had any problems at all yet, which makes me happy certainly.
As for licensing: yes, as far as I know, you need to buy its own license for all servers you need to operate with.

Have encountered my first problem with Acronis when trying to recover an image of a server which had RAID 1 onto a new server with a RAID 1 configuration also. It keeps booting to the system utility partition telling me to run the memory diagnostics. Can't get it to boot to the OS :-(

Hi Santei

Have you encountered problems with the 3718 Build? I am encountering problems with this build when using the Universal Restore option. Would appreciate any feedback!

Thanks!
