acrobat writer v5 remains minimized after print

I am running win2k pro and have v5 of adobe acrobat and distiller installed.

Acrobat and distiller work fine except recently whenever I print a document to PDF from other program files e.g.Word, QuarkXpress, etc., it ends up minimized on the task bar. I then have to click on the minimized icon to retore/maximize and then I can view the newly created PDF document.

Anyone with insights/solutions?

Try this: Find the Shortcut/Icon you use to launch Acrobat. (I keep mine in a folder on my desktop where I keep the shortcuts for all my Adobe products.) Rt-Clk and select the Properties>Shortcut tab. Look at the Run command and see if it's set to Minimized. If it is, change it to Normal Window or Mazimized and Apply. Close the window. Try to distill another test doc and see if it opens maximized/normally. If it does, problem solved. If it doesn't, post another note here with the results/actions from this suggestion.
