When I save a report as a .pdf some of the columns go onto a seperate page but when I save it on a different PC all the columns fit onto the same page.
Any idea of where I should be looking to change this on the problem PC? Is it an .ini file?
Here are some suggestions from the Cognos Knowledgebase:
Description:
I've got an Impromptu 6.0 report containing 10 columns: all the columns stand on one page.
The problem is when I publish my report to IWR (6.0) as a Public (or Personal) report, it appears with 9 columns in the first page, and the last column on a second page. All my page layout efforts made during the creation of the report are down.
Solution:
Install the same printer (driver) on the server you use on the system where you build the reports. The PDF generator uses the information from the printer driver (printable area of the paper) to make the PDF files.
If this doesn't work, take a look at the margins of the report. While the client allows you to set a margin size as small as .50", the PDF generator in IWR only allows margins as small as .75".
Before shuttling the report to the Web, ensure that it is displayed in Page Layout to make sure the columns will not get pushed to the second page. You may want to consider using Landscape in your page setup or shrinking your fields.
