Acrobat Professional 6 - window does not remember size

I use Acrobat Professional 6. When I use a resizeable window (as opposed to a full screen window), the window does not remember its size. Whatever I do to set a size or position by dragging the window border, the next time I open the application, the windows reverts to the same size.

The only way to get a consistent window size is to use a full screen window which I would rather not do.

Is there a registry entry or file which I can edit or create to fix this annoyance?

Thanks for reading this.

Fixed it!

The answer was in the registry: -
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\6.0\AdobeViewer]
key "xres" was set to a high value when I was using a dual screen setup. When I reverted to a single screen, the xres remained at 2048 (decimal). This meant that the window sizing was confused. Setting xres to 1024 (decimal), the sinlge screen pixel width cured the problem.

It's funny how often I post a question to Tek-tips.com, then solve the problem myself. If I don't post a thread, the problem doesn't get solved.

Perhaps Tek-tips.com has mystical powers.

Generally, size of Acrobat view is set in File menu/Document Properties/Initial view. That is for documents you create.

For documents you receive, you can go to Preferences/Page Display, and set Magnification to your liking. PDFs with Initial view set by the creator, as described in the first paragraph, are supposed to override the page display prefs, so the creator can send it as it's supposed to be viewed. For instance, the creator will want a book or pamphlet for print to display Facing, as opposed to Single Page because that's how it will be printed.
