When you install Adobe Acrobat on a machine which also has Microsoft Word installed, a new menu item is created on the "File" menu titled "Create Adobe PDF...". This menu item invokes the "Acrobat PDF Writer for MS Word". This application then runs the Word document through the Acrobat Distiller which creates bookmarks from Word's Table of Contents. Very nice feature, problem is that all my documents are stored in WorPerfect 8. The Acrobat documentation states that this feature is available in many word processing programs. Unfortunately I can't get this to work from WordPerfect. Has anyone been able to automatically generate Acrobat Bookmarks from WordPerfect Table of Contents. Same question regarding index entries. If not, is there a third party package that anyone has heard of?

What you will need to do is when you send the file to print, select the adobe distiller or pdf writer. These should be set as printers on your system. When you select this option, click on the options to set the printer options and click on the second tab at the top of the option box. Make sure that bookmarks and indexes is checked. This should carry over your bookmarks.

hope this helped.

Unlike when you print to the PDF writer in Word, there is no options tab on the printer properties dialog. The only tabs you get are: "Page Setup", "Compression Options", "Font Embedding" and "About". Having worked with Word I know the "Options" tab you are referring to, I would love to find the same options in WirdPerfect.

You mention using PDF Writer, but not Acrobat Distiller - Distiller should be available as a printer choice in WordPerfect - try calling up Distiller as your printer choice and see if you find what you need. Also try calling up Distiller as a program, bring up the WP document, and see if you find the options you're looking for.
