Acrobat - Illegal Operation

I receive the following error message when trying to launch Adobe Acrobat Reader:

ACRORD32 caused an invalid page fault in
module COOLTYPE.DLL at 016f:080e7e30.

This happened with version 4, I uninstalled, installed 5, same problem.

I uninstalled 4 and 5 and removed all values from the registry and reinstalled the application, same problem.

Please advise.

COOLTYPE.DLL is probably a shared file which does not get removed when you uninstall Acrobat.

Uninstall Acrobat again. Search for all instances of COOLTYPE.DLL and delete. Then reinstall Acrobat.

This DLL is probably part of another Adobe app (like Illustrator) - - so watch out when deleting (save a backup or prepare to reinstall Illustrator as well).
