Hello. I just signed up at Tek-tips and this is my first post.
There is technically a way to do it from version 7. You'd need to install Acrobat on the INFO server machine. Then, instead of exporting PDF, you choose Acrobat as the printer option.
Adobe gives you the option of specifying a PDF name for the output. If the report is being scheduled to run unattended, you want to defeat this option in Acrobat and let it default. Not sure, but you may be able to at least specify the default directory in Acrobat.
My experience, though not the most recent, is that formatting holds better when using Acrobat as a printer option anyway, as opposed to the PDF export. Closest thing to 100% perfect I ever found.
When you install ACROBAT, (depending on the version), it installs one or more printer divers. One is ACROBAT PDF WRITER, the other is ACROBAT DISTILLER. The basic difference between the two that I have seen is this:
ACROBAT PDF WRITER: Hyperlinks are treated as text (no link)
ACROBAT DISTILLER: Hyperlinks remain active
Of course, if you are dealing with INFO 7.0, that means CR 7.0, which didn't support HYPERLINKS in the report writer anyway (that came in CR Version 8 and INFO 7.5).
