Hi,

I created some standard contracts for our firm and converted them to PDF. I added some form fields in the document to fill in some client-specific info. I want to be able to send the document to the customer without letting him change the form information. Is it possible to merge the information that's in the text fields into the document so that there's no form anymore, but the information is visible?

I'm using Acrobat Professional 6.0

Thanks,
Steven

i believe all you have to do to acomplish your goal there is to open your form and the hit
file>save as
when the save dialog box opens there will be a dropdown field that says security, click this and set it to standard instead of none
this will open the security dialog where you can set

passwords to open the pdf or to change the security options
and options to disallow
printing
changing the document
selecting text and graphics
adding or changing annotations and form fields

hope that is what you needed to know

I don't find the field 'security' in the save file dialog box. But I can set security in the document properties somewhere else. This might do the job

Thanks,
Steven

sorry i was looking at an old install of acrobat 4.0
and not the 6.0...
but i hope that the security settings will do the trick for you.
good luck
