Acrobat for X Platform? 1

This may sound a silly question but can anyone help with this?

Can I use Acrobat on a PC to create PDF files from source files that have been created on a Mac?

If not, is there any other programme that I can use to do this?

if the source files are PostScript files containg the fonts (i.e. the fonts are embedded in the PS files) and you have distiller (or an other PDF create tool) than you can do this.
