acrobat error messages

I am opening up a pdf document and I get the following error.

Problem reading document (14)

any one have any ideas

it could be the version of acrobat. I've had problems if the version of the reader is not the same as the file. It all depends on what version the document was saved in.

If 4.0 and your reader is 2.0 you wont be able to read it. If your reader is 3.0 and the doc is 4.0 you wont be able to read it.

Check your version and make sure you have the latest. If you still run into problems, check the adobe site for patches and faq's.

The files were created and were being opend in the lates version.

It seemed to be intermitant and has gone away.

I think there was a problem with the data it was pulling in but I got the programmer to look at it and it seems ok.
