Most of us are still using Version 5 of Acrobat, although probably sometime in the next 6 months we will be upgrading. One of the people we work with, on another floor has been upgraded to Version 6 Standard. One of the tasks is to add a sequence number to the "FILE NO:" already on a scanned document. In V5 we would create a text field using the form tool. Since it looks like V6-Standard doesn't include this option, we eventually found the comment tool and the option to print comments rather than just display on screen. However, this option seems to give us less control over it's size and placement. Is there another method, short of having to purchase the professional version to format the text? As an example:
Scanned file shows... FILE NO: 32911-XDF-SF
In Ver 5 we use Form Tool to add a field and type in "-0001" onto the scanned file
After modification... FILE NO: 32911-XDF-SF-0001
We would like the modified part to look as close as possible as if it was part of the number all along - position, font, point size. It seems that the comments don't allow us to change the font or size. Thank you for your advice.
