I have a question concerning Adobe Acrobat 5.0. When I first started scanning documents through Acrobat, I followed the following procedure:
1. I hit File, then Import, then Scan.
2. The Acrobat Scan Plug In box appeared. Under device, there were 3 devices listed: (1) none (2) HP Prescision Scan 2.0 (my scanner) and (3) something else.
3. I hit the “something else” and a box popped up with 4 choices lined up one on top of the other - Color, Text, etc. I hit text, scanned in let’s say three to five pages and my file was very small, in “Kb.”
Somehow, when I downloaded the updated drivers for my scanner, I lost the “something else,” my third choice in the “device” box. I deleted the updated drivers and even reinstalled my scanner and Acrobat in an effort to get back to what was originally there, but I can’t retrieve it. Now, when I scan three to five pages it is no longer “Kb” Instead, the file is much larger, it is in “Mb.”
Can you please help me with advice as to how to get back to the original configuration? Thank you very much.
