Acrobat 5.0 not picking up Word Table of Contents

I am trying to convert a Word doc to a PDF. The word doc has a table of contents, yet the ToC isn't getting converted into Acrobat bookmarks.

From the helpfile, it looks like this should be done automatically when I create the PDF. Am I missing something? Or is there a bug somewhere.....
