acrobat 5.0 invalid page fault

I have installed Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 on a Windows 95 machine, but when I try to open it, it returns the error message: invalid page fault in module docbox.api.
Any suggestions?
 
I'm having the same issue and just found some stuff....

Read 4th reply from the bottom by Zhuk, mnx4u@aol.com on 09-May-2001 06:12:16 am. He says that the docbox.aps crashes on Win95a.

I'm setting a box to test this out right now. I have a number of users that are having this problem. I'll let you know if these posts are right or wrong.
 
Thank you so much for the tip. I spent the whole day installing and uninstalling and finally took to the web. Wish I found this this morning. <shrug>

It's working fine after removing that pesky plugin.

hey just delete the C:\program files\adobe\acrobat 5.0\plugins\inter trust\DocBox.api and it will work
this is not a needed plugin and you will not notice it is gone
