Dear Greater I.T. Intellect,

I have a few pocket pcs (Axim 5, Toshiba e740) that are using Microsoft Pocket PC 2002. They both have Adobe Acrobat Reader 1.0 for the Pocket PC installed.

When I drag a .pdf file from the system desktop to the Mobile Device Folder in explorer, the .pdf file is transferred to the pocket pc device. I can then open/view the .pdf file in acrobat 1.0. Once I close acrobat 1.0 and said .pdf file, it seems that I cannot delete the .pdf file from the pocket pc device. I get the following error:

Cannot delete the file: Access is denied
Make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not set as read-only, and that you have permission to copy this file type.

I am an administrator on the winxppro client. The pocket pc has sufficient memory. And I can copy the .pdf file back to the desktop, but cannot delete it.

I was able to delete the .pdf file, after uninstalling acrobat 1.0 from the mobile device.

Please advise? Much Obiged,

mgodinez

on your axim, check the switcher bar to make sure acrobat isn't open in the background. I had the exact same problem, and acrobat was still running eventhough i closed the window. You can then close it through the switcher bar and then get rid of the pdf.
