hi everyone,
My computer has been running fine until last night. I havent added any new hardware nor was there any updates installed since the last time i booted up. But now i am getting a BSOD that states
The ACPI BIOS in this system is not fully compliant with the ACPI
specification. Please read the README.TXT for possible workarounds. You
can also contact your system's manufacturer for an updated BIOS, or visit
to see if a new BIOS is available.
The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your
system vendor or visit for an updated BIOS.
If you are unable to obtain an updated BIOS or the latest BIOS supplied by
your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text
mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to
install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key
was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue
your installation.
I have never had any issues with the BIOS and i am almost positive that it is ACPI compatable. The BIOS is the latest and has not been updated in a long time. My MOBO is a ASUS A7V8X-X. Not sure what can be causing this issue. Can anyone provide me with any ideas? Like i stated I did not do any updates neither hardware nor software updates in awhile and it has been running fine until last night. I can hit the f7 during bootup and i am able to load into windows but i still get the message if i let it boot normally.
Thank you for your help
