How do I create a new access code for a trunk route?

Just remember to make it something that is not already in use somewhere else.

Prt your LUDN in LD 20 for a list of unused DN's to show what's available.

Wouldn't it SCH everywhere but 49 if it was in use?

Uhmm....this started out like you was just making a chg to acod on an existing route. Might need more info. What is the other end? What is this route for? How many members? Declare it in CEQU? Need clocking in 73???...
