I am new to using acrobat to design forms,, but what I am trying to do seems as though it should be simple to me. I want to create a form from an excel document that I can then e-mail and/or post on the web for employees to fill out and return. I do not want to complie the data into a responses file. Ideally, I would like the user experience to be open, fillout, click submit and send it to me. When I recieve it, I can view it and save it for later as is. I would like to eliminate the step of selecting a response file.

Is this possible?

Yes. There is a very good book called

Creating Adobe Acrobat Forms (Paperback)
by John Deubert

It will walk you step by step through the process.

Good luck.
