acess to excel how to ?

Hello everyone, i've tried about everything I can think of to transfer an excel spreadsheet to msaccess using dde. I've tried using the excel example, but nothing seems to work. I don't even know if i'm doing it right, can anyone help !!!!!!!! or point me to the right direction maybe a sample code. I open access through script and keep getting "macro 'APP.' cannot be found. any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say transfer a spreadsheet into Access, do you mean import it or something else?

Hi knob, yes that's what i mean import excel spreadsheet to access. what i have is a script that runs a report on a unix machine, saves the reports as .CSV format download the report from unix machine to a windows server using ftp "works great" and then i manually import the report to an msaccess database. what i'm trying to do is to run the same script in the morning approx. 2am for orders written the day before, and have another script import that report to the access database automatically (to dailylog table), so the information will be available early in the morning as needed by users.

So basically what you need is the proper DDE command(s) to tell Access to load the CSV file? I've not done any DDE work with Access myself, so the only help I can offer is searching on Micrsoft's site for information on the DDE calls that Access supports. Another user here found a help file for Excel that I've used in the past, so I would imagine something similar probably exists for Access.
