I have this ACER Laptop that is running Windows 7, when battery was down to 7% it would advice your to look for alternate power source. Now (or lately) when the battery goes down to about 10% it just SHUTS DOWN and when I plug it with the AC supply I get the Black screen asking if I want to 'Resume Windows'.

I went to Power Options and everything seems fine with the setup.

Any Ideas why is this happening?

Help would be appreciated,

Thanks

How old is this battery? It could be on they way "out". I'd contact Acer support to see if there is anyway to "resurrect" this battery. Some laptops have a sequence of charge/discharge to "realign" the battery to full charge, and to "repair" the charge indicator.
These new batteries aren't just a collection of cells anymore. There is a charge regulating circuit board built into the battery case.

The Battery is 9 month old, I will look around to see if there is a way to revive it. Or maybe it is already failing.
