Would like to get steps to produce the 4 acd reports to a pc running hyper terminal.
I have tty 1 set up for acd,
I have the SCB set up for STIO 1
I have the SCB set to print reports every half hour.
I get nothing out of my TTY 1 port not even garbage.

Does TTY 1 have (user CTY)

What is a SCB?

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

SCB is Scheduled data block for acd reports.
TTY 1 user is acd.

Have you checked to see if your even getting anything out of port 1 by connecting right to it?

Do you have CDR turned on in CDB an PORT assigned to it?

Have you said YES to CDR on the RDB and YES to the Types you want to collect?

I'm not trying to collect CDR information, I am already doing that. I'm trying to get the 4 ACD reports to print to a PC in Hyper Terminal.

Go to LD 37 and test the tty. Type tty 1 then enter. You should see:

ABCDEFGHIJKLM
NOPQRSTUVWXYZ
0123456789"#$
%*!&()<>=:,.?

on your hyperterm. If not, your baud rate might be wrong or tty port is bad.

could you prt and post tty 1, or make sure the APRT is set to yes eventhough its not a printer. that's the only way we got ours to work providing the SCB datablock is correct.

another quick test would be to connect to a working tty, verify the pc/comm port/hyperterm.. most of us use procomm.. scripts make that a cleaner device.. you can also set your capture path to a share drive, then use a script to determine the file duration... same app at another site, the supervisors have access to the share.. they get a new file every 30 minutes...

another test, put a nul modem cable between that pc and a working pc.. you should be able to type to the remote screen.. your cable between the tty port and the comm port on the pc may need a nul modem adapter... most of the time if it's baud or protocol problems you will get garbage.. if layer one is not right, you get zero

I am having the same issue, but when I go to the console in LD 37 and type in TTY 13, the only thing that comes up on my console screen in the . prompt - not the ABCD.... as 1norteltech outlined.

What is TTY programmed as?

When you said you didn't see the ABC ect, where you looking at the Terminal you typed TTY 13 or where you looking at TTY 13? it should be on TTY 13.

Actually on both. I thought that after I typed in TTY 13 on the screen, then the ABCD would show up on the screen and then a few seconds later it would show up on my PC.

The ABCD wasn't showing up on either.

Change the TTY to a normal maintenance terminal until you get the communications set up correctly and then change it back to an ACD terminal. Simplifies trouble shooting. If you hit enter and nothing show up you have 2 possible troubles

1. communication parameters on PC do not match TTY
2. TTY is set up for DCE not DTE

Thanks for all your help.
I finally got the port to print to my lap top using procomm. The thing is I am only getting the ongoing status report, not the 4 reports I set up in LD 23.
Any ideas?

The SCB is as follows:
REQ: PRT

CUST: 0
CPRD: 01 01 12 31

EHR: 18
DOW: 2 3 4 5 6

SFRQ: 2
ROPT: 1 2 3 4
PRIO:
PAGE: NO
AID: NO
-IDLB

-LOG
SRPT: NO
TOT4: YES

THE ACD DATA BLOCK I WILL NEED TO GET.
IF I CHANGE THE AID TO YES WILL IT AFFECT THE WAY THE AGENTS HAVE TO LOG IN?
