Is there a cheap acd solution that passes acd info through tapi interface. I have a customer with a startup call center to both make and receive calls through a server interface using Digisoft Telescript software. The software automatically sends info to make calls and sets up agents as incomming and outgoing according to the incoming call status. They decided to use this software before considering a phone system and have a very limited budget to boot. I work on mainly Norstar and Avaya small KSU's. The Norstar solution is possible but does'nt pass ACD to tapi making the system less efficient by setting up a timer to switch from incomming to outgoing. If anyone has a good solution it would be apreciated.

I would ask the Digisoft Telescript folks for a recommendation or list of PBXs with which they have successfully interfaced.

Look at Avaya IP Office, with TAPI 3 you will have some nice ACD functions like adding agents into groups and stuff like that.

nortel's lower end bcm might work, if not the opt 11 works on smaller line sizes, cost is a problem with all the nortel pbx options.. we just spent 100 grand on a acd symposium upgrade to our acd groups. and we have less the 200 lic..

Thanks for all of the information. I did send out to didgisoft for a list of recommended systems. I'll talk to my Avaya guy about the IP office as an option to see if it passes ACD back through to tapi. Inexpensive and Nortel do not make sense in the same sentence, but it never hurts to ask. I don't think the bcm does this yet but I'll find out also.

your very right about nortel being a little on the high side. do check the bcm unless your an avaya shop, i seldom recogmend a mixed system..
