Is it possible to set up an ACD on a Norstar system? I want the staff to be able to dial 4357(HELP) and have it go to a 10 digit number. If this is possible, can someone post the steps necessary to program it from the set?
Thanks TRavis

Tbarrnes,

Go to and look at the ACD packages (Prelude, Cinphony I, and Cinphony II) for the Norstar. Do a comparision and contact a distributor for the ACD.

Ok, to answer you question. ACD does not come with the Norstar. It is optional and can only be purchased with your Call Pilot (if you have one) and or the software above. Talk to a distributor, and they should know what you need.

What Norstar system are you using?

I know the CICS with 6.1 supports hunt groups, which would work for the most part, however, it sounds like you want to forward an internal number to an external...is this the case?

Yes, I just want them to be able to dial 4 digits to reach the help desk which is located across the state.

just need 4.1 or higher software and program a dest code and rout with dialout for the help desk 10 digit number
the dest iether 4357 or if you are using ext in the 4 range use 8-4357 and point to the route and have the dial out be the tel number 18005551212 or what ever the stinkin number is...last but not least if you are shaking your head and are not sure of what i just said.....call a vendor
