I am new to the Meridian system and I have managed to be able to pick most things however I have not had to deal the the ACD group yet. I have an ext. that I can't lose but I want to add it to the ACD group. I have another ext, and phone exactly the way I want it. Can I just copy it and if so exactly how ao I get all of the info.

Thanks

If you want to make ACD from the ext that exists on phone you have to out every single appearance of that ext from phones then go to LD 23 and add new ACD.

This phone Number is not part of an ACD. I want to add it to an existing ACD. but keep the ext on the phone just like the rest of them we have.

you can keep the extn on the phone but you will have to re assign it to a different key than 0 as this is what you need to assign your acd to. eg

KEY 00 ACD 919000 0 9114
SUPY ACID 9113 KEY 10
01 SCR 2448 0 MARP
CPND
CPND_LANG ROMAN
NAME Adam Hay
XPLN 27
DISPLAY_FMT FIRST,LAST
02 TRN
03 RGA
04 RNP
05 NRD
06 MSB
07

Ok I know I need to move the ext to another key. What I don't know is how to add the phone to the existing ACD. Can I copy another phone that is a member of the ACD to this TN and then just modify the key or is there something else I have to do and if so what?

Do not use CPY or CHG on ACD sets or you can corrupt the database. Always log out the set, disable it, OUT it & then rebuild it.

On your phone nul key 0 then assign the DN to another key. This should leave key 0 spare. At this point you can use CHG

REQ = CHG
TYPE = 3905 or whatever
ECHG = YES
KEY 0 919000 0 9114
where
919000 = queue dn
0 = clid number
9114 = agent or pos id depending what's set in the scb block ld23

Ok I think I know what you trying to do you want to turn regular phone to existing ACD and also keep existing number.
Ok here it go’s
Print any phone that is in that ACD and look at the key 0 that will show you ACD number
Like wdhb example shows
KEY 0 919000 0 9114
919000 is the ACD number that you want new phone to be part off
9114 is the agent id number this must be unique for each acd phone you can use any unused number in your PBX to replace 9114.

What I can't figure out is how to build the phone.

Thanks to Colin and another post I am getting close to understanding these things.

ld 10
cpy 1
copy from TN # (old reference/ template extension)
copy to TN # (new extension)

Don't use the Copy command in ACD. I think that was the first thing I learned in the ACD world!!!

Just print an existing phone and build a new one, don't be lazy and cause problems for yourself later.
