Accurate timing

Hi,
I would like to use timers for music purposes but I have been told that the ttimer is not accurate enough and prone to interruption. Can anyone explain why and what alternatives/workrounds there are?

Theres a timer component in the LMDTools bundle which counts down to one millisecond. LMDTools is free and contains some other useful components. If you want to download it you can either perform search (from any engine) as they have their own webpage or you can download it from the site recommended in the previous message.
