hi,
i have accpac installed on windows 98 with pervasive too,
then i run the \\program files\accpac\wssetup\setup.exe from my windows xp and pinpoint to p:pluswin (shareddata)on windows 98, i also installed my pc windows xp pervasive, but still doesn't work.

when i click acccpac it said not authorized to use this application, something like that,

do i have to install system manager and all the modules to in my windows xp? i tried actually and i pinpoit to \\program files\accpac to windows 98 pc, and p:\pluswin on windows 98 pc and still asked me for activation code.

please help what do i have to do to get my pc used the same data on windows 98, my network is peer to peer, do i have to installed workgroup or workstation?

i have intenet security install, (firewall, do that affect?)

Hi, me again

accpac it's running great thanks for your help, but now i have another proble,

Today when i printed the cheques in payable, when asked me if the cheque were printer fine, i said yes, then give me this error.

internal error and didn't do it the posting sequence so i can print the check register,

could you please tell what could be wrong, and what i have to do to fix it.

what do u mean business partner?

i have not talk to anybody, just to the accountant of the hotel,

i just go the message after i print the cheque, and no posting sequence was created.
just want to know why that problem if everything it's working fine.

I CREATED A NEW ACCOUNT # 2017-00 WHEN I POST A BATCH WITH THAT ACCOUNT IN THE BATCH, I GET THESE ERRORS:

i tried restarting the pc and accpac and still doesn't work, still saying the batch listing status: posting in progress..

Hoo, boy, that's a serious error. When a new account is created, it's supposed to create the fiscal set records (GLAFS). Restarting the PC won't help a bit, you've got some major data integrity problems.

When you created 2017-00, did you check the multicurrency box?

hi, thank you for your response.

We don't have multicurrency, but we solved the problem we put the back up and delete 201700 and created a new one and it worked.Thanks anyway...


but there's two other things:

1. when we went to G/L Transaction Listing,

and then in Select Account:

From: (This no problem we can type the account or type the account)

To: (This one has problem we can click and the finder or type the account) and we got this
message: can not initialize the finder)

then we restarted the computer and accpac and now work fine) do you know why we got that message?

and

2. when we run the data integrity check, we

got 143 erros, like:


Vendors, Vendor Comments, Open Documents, Open Documents Sched, Payment, Docuement Payments
Vendor Number: A&AAND
E:Invalid imput. 0000-00-00 is an invalid date. Enter a valid start date.


Please help us........

Without a copy of your data, there's not much I can do.

1. The 0000-00-00 date means you've got corrupt data. A Dbdump/Dbload may fix it, but I doubt it. I've been doing Accpac for 15 years, and I've seen that kind of problem maybe three times.

2. If the finder isn't working, deleting the _P.ISM file for that user might fix it.

it was working fine, do you why the data get corrupt it.

do i have run both dbdump/dbload?

If Dbdump/Dbload doesn't fix it, then either you can:

1. Ignore the messages
2. Send your data out for data repair
3. Get the Fixit product from Musick International which usually does a good job of these kinds of errors.

Why did the data get corrupted? I have no @#$#@$ clue...

1. I don't have your data
2. I didn't set up your network
3. I didn't install your Accpac
4. I have no history of other problems, like servers getting rebooted, or users pressing Ctl-Alt-Del in the middle of posting

Hi,

I run ddump/dload fine,

then when i wanted to run again data integrity to check if we still have the erros in Accounts Payable, i got this
error:

System error. Cannot open the error log file.

The file ERRORS.LOG is in your Accpac SharedData folder, make sure you have sufficient permissions to that folder, and that the file is not marked as read-only.

hi, thank you so much,

i run the data integrity, but i still get 143 error, but the program seems to be working fine, i try many thins like printing report, opening account, and it dosen't look this erros are affecting the payable program.


If i leave it like that, do you think i can have more serious problem in the future?

do you suggest something else i can try.
