Hi, I've upgraded from WIN98SE to WINXP PRO and have not been able to print ACCPAC PLUS to WINXP. I have a Canon BJC4100 connected to LPT1. I am able to print test pages and from MS WORD but nothing whatsoever prints from ACCPAC PLUS. I also have Windows System 7.0 and General 6.5.
If the problem is with the net use command and parameters, how can I rectify this problem?
I have since been using a second hard drive with WIN98 SE so I can print.
Any help would be appreciated.

From what I understand, ACCPAC has not certified ACCPAC Plus on Windows XP and says it has no plans to do so.

Windows XP does not use printer port mapping in printer settings. Accpac Plus assigns local and network printers by mapped printer ports.

Also, more and more printers are unable to print from DOS applications. This is because they rely on Windows to supply the fonts rather than making them resident in the printer. The latter method is necessary for DOS printing, but also costs more because the printer makers must pay a license fee to the font’s owner.

See the following link for possible help. Otherwise you might have to continue to print from Win98.

Hello Zemp and thank you for the response.

Ok...that explains it.
Thank you and for the link which may be a "possible" solution and if that doesn't work then I will continue using WIN98.
Thanks Again
