Accpac Insight install options

Hey folks,
We are evaluating Accpac Insight and I would like to install it for eval for a trial period. We use a server install + workstation-setup model for Accpac5.5... should I be doing the same for AI or is it reasonable to do a standalone install for the one guy that is evaluating it?

That depends on whether he has enough RAM on his PC to run Insight and the SQL database as well. But if he can run Accpac OK, Insight isn't much more burden on the CPU.

Thanks Tuba but I think I was unclear. I don't intend to load the SQL DB on his machine. I thought and hoped I could install Insight on his a workstation that is setup as an Accpac workstation off an Accpac server install. I assumed I could have Insight use the same Accpac DB on the server.

The workstation is pretty zippy for a workstation but the DB server is the right tool for the job. Do I have to install Insight on the server to use a DB on the server?

No, you point the Insight client to whatever server you have.
