accpac error

I am new to Accpac. When posting an order the following error comes up:

Description: Invalid input. Tax information for customer DRAPER is out-of-date. Enter correct tax information for the customer on the Processing page of A/R Customers.
Source: 15:04:21

I am told that the IT guy before me, would do something and it would post. He is long gone.

Did you do what the message says?

The setup of your taxes have changed and the customer still has the old tax setup stored.
Refresh the tax settings for the customer: open AR customers, enter the customer number and press tab, then go to the Invoicing tab, make a note of the tax group, change the tax group to something else and click Save, change the tax group back to what it was and click Save again.
You should now be able to post an order for the customer.

did what you suggested and it didn't work. There is not tax info on the tab it tells you to go to in the error message.

So there is no Tax Group on the AR Customers, Invoicing tab?

What version of Accpac are you running and what service packs are installed? (Help, System Information)

I have the tax group, I just changed it to another group, saved it and then changed it back and saved it again and it still will not post witht he same error?

Sage Accpac 500 ERP (Version 5.3B)
AP SP 3
AR SP 3
IC SP 3
OE SP 5
PO SP 3

Is this a new OE order or an existing order?

I am told it is a an existing back order and they want it off the open orders report

Then you need to refresh the tax information on the OE order as well, since it will have the old tax details.
Open the OE Order and click on the Customer tab, change the tax group to something else and back again, then you can post.
