Reloaded Accpac server with Windows 2003 Server. Pervasive 9.52 (9.1 with Sp2 and hotfix), Accpac is Version 5.4. Seperate server has Citrix for remote users. Everything works fine for remote users. There are 4 local users that have workstation setup to Accpac server. Getting database connection error=2 on Accpac. There are 14 companies. Can connect to sample data and one other company. The other 13 give this error. All naming is UNC. No spaces in path names.
Desperate.

Dbspy will give you more details, but Error=2 usually means you need to recreate your DSN's (and use UNC).

Have removed DSN's and created them a few times. Tests run normal. Still only one database working. Creating a new database does not work.
System worked for 1 hr then both servers were restarted and since then problem.
UNC is used without spaces in names.
Will try dbspy.

Is there anywhere where I can find what folder and registry permissions should be for Pervasive and Accpac?

Did you delete them all from Accpac Database Setup, then re-add them from a workstation?

No rights required for Pervasive, for Accpac start with full access (to test) and then tone it down to read/write for shared data & data, and read for programs.

OK, Problem sorted.
Had to delete Accpac Database setup, then workstation DSN then server DSN. Finally create them in the same sequence again.
Could this have been because the dsn's were imported (there are about 30 of them) and not manually created.

Maybe, it could also be that this was an old Dbsetup, and you either moved servers, or had originally done dbsetup setup in a version like 5.2, when drive letters and paths were used instead of DSNs.
