accpac 6.1a Starts then Closes

I have accpac 6.1a and am having trouble. I couldn't print to my hplaserjet6P. When I tried it said system performed an illegal operation. So I reloaded accpac and loaded the latest service pack sm990205 and now i open accpac it shows me the version screen the accpac closes automatically. Accpac ran fine other than printing before I reinstalled accpac. Can you use the net use command for local printers and if so what is it. net use lpt1 ???????
Any clues would be appriciated.

You can map local printers in Windows 2k and XP. First Share the printer and the issue this command:

net use lpt1: \\computername\sharename /persistent:yes

where computer name is the local computer' name.

Did you get beyond that already? I'm having asimilar "Accpac immediately closing" issue with 5.0a and Terminal Services. I did not do the install and I'm wondering if it was installed incorrectly.
