Hi All,

We have Accpac 5.1a workstation client (with Pervasive SQL 2000i) installed on a Windows 2000 terminal server.

We are getting an error when our clients log in to the A/R module and trying to print a Recipient Batch List (or other) report.

The error we receive is:

Error
Description: Error occurred when accessing Crystal Enterprise: File Repository server unavailable.

Code: 5.936.0

This started happening sometime at the end of December and has been ongoing since. To the best of my knowledge no changes have been made to the system but it seems as if it does not know where to lookup the report files?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

Someone ran the web deployment on the server.
Delete the Accpac COM components from Component Services on the server.

Wow - great and thanks for the quick reply!

I've never done this before so looking for a little guidance.

I had a look at the Component services and there are 2 installed:

ACCPAC
ACCPAC ASP

This server is a Windows 2000 Terminal Server with the Accpac Enterprise solution actually on it, as well as the client has been loaded on the server.

Before deleting I just want to be absolutely sure i am deleting the right object.

Can you please confirm?

Thanks!

Yes, those are the 2 COM components that are causing the problem.
Were you using Accpac web deployment, or did someone think "let's see what happens when I run this?" ?

Ok so I deleted the 2 com objects (while logged in as the administrator) and then I ran the accpac client and logged in as the user. this works now under the local administrator account.

However, when I log in to the server as the user (who has user / power user rights) i now get a different error...

Description: Error in File C:\AccPac5\ACCPAC\ar51A\ENG\arcbtclz.RPT: Error in formula <cdatebatch>. 'If ({ARBTA.DATEBTCH} = 0) ' The ) is missing.

I tried giving the user full administrator access as well (just to try and rule out a permissions issue) but still the same error...

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Oh - and no idea if someone ran the web deployment (although that is entirely possible I wasn't here to witness it if it did happen) :D

Do all reports give errors?
Is this in a terminal server session?

It seems to be with all reports (tried AP as well, same issue). This is occurring while logged on at the console and not through a TS session...

Very very strange!

Re-run {accpacfolder}\WSSETUP\SETUP.EXE, then copy C:\Winnt\Crystal\*.* to C:\Winnt\System32.

Ettienne - You were definitely bang on the money with the COM objects - that fixed part of the initial problem. Many Thanks as that helped move forward on this issue. You definitely get a star on this one!

Tuba2007 - You were right on the money as well with your fix! you also get a star for this one!

Thanks guys - you really helped us out of a jam here! Much Appreciated!
