Accpac 5.1 Migration

Hi All,

We have an older Accpac 5.1 enterprise solution in place today and our company has dramatically changed over the years. We are now looking as a result to migrate to a new program, something much smaller and will meet our existing needs.

We will likely go with Simply Accounting 2008 Enterprise version (10 user license).

My question is - is there an easy way to migrate or preserve the data from the old Accpac system without having to keep the server around for this purpose?

Assuming it's Pervasive, just copy the data files, and install Pervasive on the new server.

Hey Tuba,

Yes, we're using Pervasive 2000i. I'm not much of a database guy so looking for a little guidance here....

I could install the Pervasive on the new server and then copy over the database. In the event I need to get access to the old data, I'd then have to reinstall Accpac on that same server? I'd also probably need a way to preserve any reports / custom reports?
