Accpac 4.2 programs won't run

Accpac 4.2
The program is loaded by workstations through terminal services. (Runs on Server)

From time to time a user will click on any function, say Order Entry or a lookup screen or a report and the program appears to load (hourglass) then finishes without displaying a screen. Once it happens all functions within Accpac will display the same behaviour. There can only be as few as 2, max 5 users logged on.

Re-starting Accpac normalizes it.

The Server has been scanned for viruses and spyware etc. Any clues.

Probably just a weak server. You know, of course, that version 4.2 isn't anymore, it's got a lot of 16-bitness in it.

Could be Pervasive locking up. Check your Pervasive settings and view the stats in Pervasive monitor.

Yep server is old and the network is prone to the odd problem

Didn't think of the Pervasive angle.

I think we just have to keep our eyes on it. It's been a good boy all last week !
