Accpac 4.2 - Clearing History in OE 1

We ran the Clear History function in OE.
It errored on finding a Deleted Inventory Item.

Do I have to re-load all deleted inventory items?? Thre is no warning when deleting IC records.

I was clearing Sales and Transaction History to speed up things like running Order action reports.

Anything else I should be wary of?? I want to clean up AR next.

That's probably the best way. Hopefully, you only have a handful of items to add back.

If only that were true.

I do have backups of the items though. I acutally have access to all deleted codes but there are a couple of thousand. I can construct an import marking them inactive. Do the Clear history. Then Delete the inactive items again.

How does that sound?? I was looking for a cleaner work around and I'm scared of corrupting data.

Any issues with clearing AR history that you know of ??

Yep, that's an excellent plan. Your alernative is a lot of data surgery to delete records in OEAUD*, OEORD*, OESHI*, etc., not for the faint of heart.

And you're in luck, AR clearing is a lot easier, I've never had any issues.
