Account renumbering in MAS 90

When I try to use the account/delet/renumber/merge utility in MAS 90 I get the following message "General Ledger data files must be upgraded before the account/delet/renumber/merge utility can be used".
Anyone know what this means and how to do it?

Make sure all of your GL posting files have been updated. Journal Entries. Transaction Journals. Daily Transaction Registers.
