This is apparently a known issue that was caused by service pack 3, and a patch has been issued but does not remedy my problem.
I am in the middle of a security review and update process, and part of this involves removing the ability of helpdesk staff from interacting directly/administratively with the servers.
With this in mind, all the rights they should have are 'domain users' and 'account operators'.
Does anyone know of a work around for the problem caused by service pack 3, that would allow account operators to manage accounts?
I appreciate any help anyone can offer on this matter.
