Account Number doesn't like [

Does anyone know why and how to fix the issue I'm having? When I'm searching for a contact in Goldmine (6.5) by there account number, if the Account Number has the [ symbol in it, it will bring up no results, even though the number macthes perfectly.

Accountno's have a lot of odd characters in them.. Try using an underscore character instead of difficult characters like that one.. Underscore (in any lookup) will basically say 'anything in this space'.. So searching for

Jo_ Smith

would return Joe Smith AND Jon Smith, for instance.

note that this only works on an SQL-based version of GoldMine
