Recently two of my users have been having problems logging in to the server. When I checked it out I saw in the security logs that they were trying to login for several times, and for some reason the server did not recognize the user name or password. After several attempts the accounts were locked out.

I installed SP2 and the problems disappeared, but now it returned, probably after some patch was installed.

The common thing for those two users is that they have a very large mail box (around 400MB) and they never close Outlook. I am thinking in this direction: Sometime at night Exchange does some maintainance and locks out the mailboxes. Since their mailboxes are so big, maintainance takes several minutes, during that time Outlook logins fail, and as a result the accounts get locked out.

If I am correct in my assumptions, what do I do to stop this locking out, except for telling them to log out when they go home (I just know they won't do it)? If I am mistaken, what causes this problem with the logins?
