Hey all you experts out here, hope you can help me out here.

I have quick formatted a partition unintentionally in Windows XP. For recovery, i've tried Easy Recovery Pro(doesn't recover anything), Lost and Found (hangs when the second disk is inserted, i have the HD hooked up to the onboard controller with no RAID setup, plus i have over 14GBs on said partition).

At this point, i am feeling quite desperate, but not desperate enough to fork out big bucks to a recovery service. Does anyone have a suggestion or some experience like mine.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry about the lack of info. Filestore? what is that.
before the format, partition was NTFS in XP and mounted as a folder without a drive letter. I then quick formatted it to ntfs and then deleted the partition. it is now a unpartitioned space that hasn't been accessed since.

PC INSPECTOR™ File Recovery is a data recovery program that supports the FAT 12/16/32 and NTFS
file systems. The current version 3.x replaces the previous version 2.x, which is now over
6 years old.
Files accidentally deleted or any data from a formated hard disk, Zip, Jaz or floppy disk, can
be recovered along with original folder names and file Create and Modified dates within minutes.

I have never seen ANYTHING like this particular freeware device driver. While only weighing in
under 2k, and taking up about 3-5k of memory, this little device driver scans your entire
drive for lost partitions, it then assigns read-only drive letters to them to allow you to
recover data.
