Issue is when I type I can get to the site fine.

If I type website.com it fails internally on my corporate network. If I go out of my corporate network I can get to it fine.

Any ideas what would cause it to fail inside the network?

This sounds like a DNS issue. Based on the description, I would guess that there is an A record for website.com and the public DNS system has an alias entry for but your internal DNS (or domain controller) does not.
