Hi, Using a 2501 router, I would like to try and connect something on the WAN side of it, but I have no cables. What is the cheapest way? I also have one more 2501 router if this helps.

I would like to be able to use the router as an access server for testing, but first just being able to connect to it from the WAN side would be great. Or maybe emulate WAN using the AUX port somehow if possible? Perhaps by using 2 routers emulate a remote user dialing in to a network.

What can I do?

Thanks.

You need to get yourself a DB60 DTC-DCE cable. Do a search on Ebay for "Cisco back to back cable" and you will find loads reasonably priced!
