I need to know what is the correct way to setup client access to the net.I have Windows 2003 server with Active Directory setup.DNS installed.Server is connected to a router and has internet access.Do I setup the clients to access the net through thr domain controller or the router? I need the best and the most secure.

You can do it either way. Just use the server's ip as the default gateway so that they can authenticate thru AD

I would have a switch or even better firewall and a switch between the LAN with server 2003 and the net.

BTW the default gateway should be an internal router (or firewall if you have it) IP address IMO
