Accessing Receipt Info directly from POS

Hi Experts,
I am thinking of developing a mobile app that integrates with POS systems. And one of the features of my mobile app needs to get the receipt info from the POS system before the receipt gets printed.

Is this possible to get the receipt information directly from the POS system?
