Accessing Paging from Outside

Hi All,

I am trying to figure out a way to access my paging system from the outside by dialing a DID or a VDN or whatever. I tried setting up a vector with a route to step dialing my paging systems TAC but it just sits in silence. I don't see anywhere in feature codes where paging is configured only a TAC when I do a display paging loudspeaker. I have a G3siV12.

use remote access "change remote-access" assign a did and a barrier code dial in and dial the paging code page and disconnect

That command is not available, so maybe I don't have remote access. Thanks for the suggestion though

Have you tried to type: "enable remote-access"? Otherwise, Avaya can enable it for a small $$ fee...

I don't have access to that command either, if I don't have remote access am I stuck until I do?

In 4.1 you could use Feature Name Extension features...

I know this doesn't help your problem at v12, but thought I would share with the group.

so what does this really enable you to do? call in over DID and make announcement over pa system.
