Hello all;

Got this little project dropped in my lap, and I've hit a small road block. I’ve got a Legend Basic carrier populated with 408 gs/ls (x2), and 800 gs/ls. I've added a 008 opt, renumbered, and assigned an extension.. for the new analog set. I’d like the capability of accessing an outside line from this new single line analog extension. Any advice or direction on how I could accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

You should just be able to dial 9 and get an outside line.

Austin;

thats exactly what I'd like to be able to do. Having access within the system upon picking up the handset, and then dialing a number (9) to access an outisde line. The phone does not do this. I get a tone to dial extensions upon picking up the set, but 9 does not gain me access to an outside line.
I appreciate the help.

This is sounding familiar. You might try searching in this forum for past answers. Is the system in 'key' or 'hybrid' mode? In hybrid, the 9 is the ARS access code, but should still work--it usually defaults to the main pool. Another option would be to give the station permission to dial the pool access code--I think it's in extensions, dial outcd.
