Accessing Oracle 8i using DAO through Visual Basic

Dear Sir,
Can you please tell me how to access Oracle 8i using Data Access Object (DAO) through Visual Basic. i have used DAO in accessing Microsoft Access but dont know how to access Oracle by the same method. i would be greatfull if you please give me a solution.

DAO is specific to the microsoft Jet engine (Mainly Access). I don't believe you can connect to Oracle with DAO.

You will need to switch to ADO.

You can make a connection to other ODBC data sources through DAO with ODBCDirect....but don't do it.

Do as Zemp says, using ADO.

Zemp, this thread number Thread709-506184 seems to be wrong.
