accessing MS sql data from oracle

I want to access the MS sql data from oracle i.e. i should be able to save data in ms sql as well as retrieve data from ms sql. How can i do it?

I read about oracle heterogeneous services, but it requires heterogeneous service agent which is a licenced copy. Is there any other way to go about it?
