accessing mailbox of third party uc server by MWI key ( envelope)

We are testing a 3rd party uc server right now - MWI ( e.g. voicemail ) by FAC [ MCD 5 SP2 PR1 ] works well; now i have been aksked for a solution to access the mailbox just by
pressing the MWI key ( envelope ) - but i don't know how to link the MWI key with the mailbox pilot number - if it is possible at all !?

Has anyone experience with it or how would you solve this user-friendly ?

The MWI button can call whatever has lit the light. You can call x-ABC from x-XYZ and hit the msg button. When you go to extension x-XYZ and press the msg key, it shows msg received from xABC and you have option to call back or cancel. Same with VM, the light gets lit by a VM port and when you press the key, you should be given an option to call back or cancel.

Assuming the VM is local to the system and the port that is setting MWI is in the VM hunt group, the MWI key should just work.

As it is not working, as assumed by your post, you need to tell us more about your setup to get the best answers.
